Ely CAMRA Out & About! Ely CAMRA took a trip to the Big Smoke! Our wonderful local MP organised a tour of the Houses of Parliament and of course we had to sample real ale at a few hostelries nearby. We had lunch at the Marquis of Granby, then visited The Speaker, The Ship and Shovell, and The Harp.

Ely CAMRA visits Norwich Beer Festival! Wednesday 28 October 2026 11:30 - The Halls Norwich We’re visiting the Norwich Beer Festival as a group on Wednesday 28 October! Join us on the 0943 train from Ely Rail Station or 0926 train from Cambridge Main Station. The festival session is from 1130-1500.

Beer Scoring Many thanks to all CAMRA members who have been scoring their beers recently. It helps us to monitor pubs so please score the beers you drink whether they be good, mediocre or poor. Beer scoring is easy to do via the pub’s CAMRA website entry - click here for an example! If you have a smart phone you can score while you drink. If not, you can do it from home later. Your beer scores help us to discover which pubs are serving the best beer and also helps in selecting candidates for the Good Beer Guide. CAMRA’s website can also be used to give us feedback on pubs. If you spot that the pub description is inaccurate or the opening hours are wrong, click on “Suggest an edit” and let us know.
